11 Days Morocco Imperial Cities and Sahara from Tanger

Tour Description:

Day 1: Airport – Tanger :

Arrival and picked up by our guides in the port or airport of Tangier and transfer to Hotel. You can visit the old Medina. Dinner and overnight in Tanger in Hotel.

Day 2: Tanger – Meknes – Fes :

After breakfast departure to Fez with a stop in Larache to eat. We continue towards the city of Moulay Ismail (Meknes), famous for its monumental Bab Mansour and the walls of their city. Arrival in Fez, dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 3: Fes – Fes :

Free day in FES. Upon entering the streets of the medina (old town) feel that the time back: the guild structure is still present in the workplace, the narrowness of the streets does not allow other means of transport as donkeys and a constant tingling of people move through the maze of narrow streets in the middle of which will surprise neighborhoods such as Andalusians and magnificent mosques and Koranic schoolsFez has always been associated with the study and religion, and remains the spiritual capital of Morocco. After visiting the medina other option is to walk aimlessly through the streets of Fez-Jdid, which houses the royal palace, the mellah (Jewish) and the oldest mosque in Fez. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 4: Fes – Merzouga – Erg Chebbi :

In the morning start to the desert village of Merzouga via Azrou, the cedar forests and Ziz gorge. This is an interesting route and you can stop for lunch in Midelt.Late afternoon arrive at the edge of the Erg Chebbi dunes and check into a the desert Inn hotel where you can safely wander into the immediate desert to watch the sunset.

Day 5: Erg Chebbi – Merzouga – Ouarzazate :

Early morning wake up for camel riding and outstanding sunrise. Arriving to the hotel for refreshing and breakfast. Departure to the west side of the Atlas Mountains to reach the enchanting oasis of Tinghir. Proceed to the Dades Valley “Valley of the 1,000 Kasbahs” admiring its magnificent forts and the Valley of the Roses, and arrive in Ouarzazate, famous for its film studios. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 6: Ouarzazate – Marrakech :

Breakfast and visit to the Kasbah of Taourirt and the famous Ait Ben Haddou (Cultural Heritage of Humanity). The journey is a series of strengths. This day is one of them. The 200 km between Marrakesh Ouarzazate run through the High Atlas. The road must be traveled slowly, for its beauty and because it is a mountain pass that crosses the Atlas to nearly 2,300 m. Rounding out the spectacular day, do the road following the old caravan route linking the two cities Ounila Valley, where there kasbahs built in caves and we will also visit the Telouet. And we continue to the red city of Marrakech. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 7: Marrakech – Marrakech :

Free day in Marrakech, a city famous for its Jemaa el Fna, which will occupy much of our time: an amalgam of aromas, sounds and sensations unique. The city also has plenty of places you wander and enjoy: Gardens Majorelle, Menara, Tombs Saadianas, walks or the mellah medina (the old Jewish quarter), the route of the walls, the modern city (Gueliz) with Western lifestyles. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 8: Marrakech – Casablanca :

Breakfast and departure to Casablanca, Morocco’s economic capital and mythical city on the Atlantic Ocean, fascinating architecture. Visit its famous beach area and La Corniche Hassan II Mosque, second largest mosque in the world after Mecca. Dinner and overnight hotel.

Day 9: Casablanca – Rabat – Asilah :

Breakfast and departure to Rabat, check the capital of Morocco, the Royal Palace, the mausoleum of Mohammed V, Hassan Tower, Kasbah Oudaya, etc. In the afternoon continue to the town of Asilah Medina to visit the beautiful white. Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 10: Asilah – Asilah :

After breakfast, free day to visit the city, relax, shopping … Dinner and overnight in hotel.

Day 11: Asilah – Tanger :

Breakfast and transfer to the port or airport as flight schedule or boat in Tangier. End of our services.
