3 Days Marrakech to Merzouga Desert Tour

We start early from your hotel or riad in Marrakech. Drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 meters), offering stunning views of valleys and Berber villages.

Stop at the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a filming location for movies like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. After visiting the kasbah, continue to Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Morocco," with an optional visit to the Taourirt Kasbah or the film studios.

The journey continues through the stunning Valley of Roses, famous for its rose festivals in spring, and then to the dramatic Dades Gorges, known for its amazing rock formations called the "Monkey Fingers." Enjoy dinner and overnight in a traditional hotel or kasbah in Dades Valley.

After breakfast, travel towards the spectacular Todra Gorges, where towering 300-meter cliffs create one of Morocco’s most beautiful canyon landscapes. Enjoy free time for walking and exploring the gorge.

Continue the journey through Erfoud, known for its fossil workshops, and then head to the edge of the Sahara Desert in Merzouga. In the late afternoon, switch from the vehicle to camels for a trek across the Erg Chebbi dunes, enjoying the sunset along the way.

Arrive at your desert camp, enjoy a delicious traditional dinner, listen to Berber music around the campfire, and spend the night under the stars in your private nomadic-style tent.

Wake early to witness an unforgettable sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast and a camel ride back to Merzouga, start the return journey towards Marrakech.

Drive through the Draa Valley, famous for its endless palm groves and ancient kasbahs. Pass through the Berber towns of Nkob, Tazarine, and Agdz, with stops to enjoy the scenery and local villages.

Continue to Ouarzazate and then cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, arriving in Marrakech around 6:30 PM. Drop-off at your hotel or riad. End of the tour.
